Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2 cups shortening
  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put the dry ingredients in a gallon zip lock freezer bag; store in the refrigerator until ready to make cookies.
  2. When ready, combine 3 cups of the mix with eggs and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix until well blended.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes.
  6. While hot, dip cookies in powdered sugar.
