Ingredients

  • 9 cups fruit
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
  3. Combine fruit, flour, sugar, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and orange juice in a bowl.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture into the prepared cake pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped pecans (if using), and remaining salt.
  6. Add softened butter and vanilla to the dry ingredients and blend until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit in the pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
