Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 tsp quick-rising yeast
  • 2 3/4 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup quick or old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried dill weed
  • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Bring all refrigerated ingredients to room temperature by letting them stand on the counter for about 30 minutes.
  2. Place the yeast in the bread machine pan according to the manual's instructions.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine bread flour, oats, Parmesan cheese, sugar, salt, and Italian seasoning or dill weed; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk and oil; mix well.
  5. Add the dry ingredients and buttermilk mixture to the bread machine pan according to the manual.
  6. Select the white bread and light crust settings on the bread machine.
  7. Remove the bread from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
