- Measure oatmeal into a bowl along with the melted butter, eggs, and milk.
- Add flavorings: salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
- Stir well and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar and all remaining ingredients.
- Stir well to combine.
- Oil a loaf pan and pour the batter into it.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 325°F and continue baking for about 30 minutes, or until the bread tests done and is light brown.
- Cool completely before slicing.
