Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. uncooked oats
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over oats.
  2. Let stand for 20 minutes.
  3. Beat butter until creamy.
  4. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  5. Add dry ingredients.
  6. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
