Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together until well combined.
  2. Sift the baking soda, salt, and flour together.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips.
  5. Make round balls of dough and flatten them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Cool on the cookie sheet for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack.
