Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. smoked sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sauerkraut
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Saute sausage and onion in a large skillet for about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in drained sauerkraut, shredded Swiss cheese, spicy brown mustard, and caraway seed.
  4. Unroll dough; cut into halves lengthwise and crosswise to make four squares. Press each into a 6-inch square.
  5. Place one quarter of the sausage filling in a triangle over half of each square, leaving a 1/2-inch edge.
  6. Moisten edges with water.
  7. Carefully fold dough over filling, pressing edges together to seal.
  8. Place on a greased baking sheet and pierce the top with a knife.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
