Ingredients

  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 to 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into eighths.
  2. Cook potatoes and chopped onion in a covered pan of boiling water for 15 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain the cooked potatoes and onion.
  4. Add milk, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, sugar, and pepper to the drained potatoes.
  5. Mash everything until smooth and creamy.
