Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 rounded tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped apples
  • 2/3 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  2. Add the egg yolk and beat again until combined.
  3. Mix in the sugar until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Spread the mixture into a greased pie plate.
  5. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream.
