Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted Bisquick
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • grated rind of 1 orange
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. light vegetable oil
  • 1 c. coarsely cut walnuts

Instructions

  1. Ensure all cake ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
  2. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together Bisquick, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves.
  4. Add grated orange rind and mix well.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the milk and vegetable oil.
  6. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  7. Fold in the coarsely cut walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
