Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Allow margarine to come to room temperature.
  2. Add flour, sugar, eggs, salt, soda, vanilla, and sour cream to a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat the mixture for 3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
  5. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 1 hour or less until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
