Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion in vegetable oil until tender but not brown.
  2. Combine beaten egg and milk in a bowl.
  3. Add the egg mixture to the biscuit mix and stir until moistened.
  4. Mix in the sautéed onion, half of the grated Cheddar cheese, and parsley flakes.
  5. Spread the dough in a greased 8-inch round cake pan.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and parsley over the top of the dough.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  8. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
