Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced Vidalia onions
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups cornbread dressing mix
  • 1 cup mushroom or cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • a little corn
  • a little cornbread mix

Instructions

  1. Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a skillet.
  2. Cook sliced Vidalia onions in butter until transparent.
  3. Mix mushroom or cream of celery soup with cornbread dressing mix.
  4. Combine sour cream, pepper, and corn in a bowl.
  5. Layer the cooked onions with the soup and dressing mixture in a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle a little cornbread mix on top.
  7. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour.
