Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small package lemon instant pudding
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

  1. Mix together eggs, cake mix, pudding, cold water, oil, and salt.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
  4. Cool the cake for 5 minutes.
  5. While cooling, make the sauce: heat powdered sugar, orange juice, water, and butter over double boiler until well mixed.
  6. Poke holes in the cake with a fork and pour the sauce over the cake.
  7. Heat sifted powdered sugar and lemon juice to boiling and pour over the warm cake.
