Ingredients

  • 7 1/2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 1/2 cups long grain rice
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons orange peel, grated
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil.
  2. Gradually stir in the rice.
  3. Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes, or until rice is tender.
