Orange Summer Salad

A refreshing and tangy summer salad featuring pineapple and orange jello, complemented by low-fat buttermilk and light whipped topping, perfect for warm-weather gatherings and light desserts.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained and unsweetened
  • 6 oz. package orange jello (can use sugar-free)
  • 2 cups low-fat buttermilk

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the crushed pineapple with its juice.
  2. Bring to a good boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and add the orange jello powder.
  4. Mix well and let cool slightly.
  5. Stir in the cooled jello mixture.
  6. Gently fold in Cool Whip Lite until well blended.
  7. Pour the mixture into a mold or serving dish.
  8. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
