Ingredients

  • 1 stack saltines
  • 2 sticks real butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 12 ounces chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Line a large pan with sides with aluminum foil.
  2. Arrange saltines on top of the foil-lined pan.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter.
  4. Add dark brown sugar to the melted butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the brown sugar mixture evenly over the saltines.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate morsels evenly over the hot mixture.
  8. Let sit for a few minutes until the chocolate begins to melt, then spread evenly.
  9. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces and serve.
