Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix ground chuck, Lipton onion soup mix, uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, water, chopped onion, and grated cheddar cheese in a 2-quart covered casserole dish.
  2. Cover the dish and bake in the oven at 350°F for 1 hour with the lid on.
  3. Remove the lid and sprinkle additional grated cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Return the dish to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
