Ingredients

  • 4 to 8 thick pork chops
  • pineapple rings
  • fresh mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Brown the pork chops in a skillet and place them in a baking pan in a single layer.
  2. Top each chop with a pineapple ring and place a mushroom cap in the center of each pineapple ring.
  3. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, and sugar; bring to a boil.
  4. Dissolve the cornstarch in water and stir into the boiling mixture.
  5. Bring the sauce back to a boil until thickened, then pour over the pork chops.
  6. Cover and bake at 325°F (163°C) for 2 hours.
