Our Good Fruitcake
Ingredients
Instructions
- Mix fruit and 1 cup of flour, then set aside.
- Beat margarine, then add sugar and beat well.
- Add eggs and lemon extract. Gradually add sifted flour and baking powder.
- Add floured fruit to egg mixture and put into greased and floured tube pan.
- Cover with foil and bake at 300° for 2 1/2 hours.
- Put a pan of water in the oven while cake bakes.
- Uncover for last 5 minutes to brown.
- Let cake cool slightly before removing from pan.
