- Season the venison roast with salt and pepper, then brown in bacon drippings with minced garlic.
- Drain off the fat from the pan.
- Bake the roast at 350°F for 3 hours or until tender.
- Remove the meat from the pan and add water, barbecue sauce, ketchup, tomato sauce, sugar, chopped celery, and chopped green peppers to the juices.
- Return the meat to the oven and bake for 1 hour or until the sauce thickens.
