- Start at 1:00 p.m.
- Boil water, salt, and sugar for 5 minutes. Add shortening and let cool.
- Add flour to the cooled liquid mixture.
- Add softened yeast to the mixture.
- Beat the mixture well.
- Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Dough should be double in size by 6:00 p.m.
- Knead down the dough at 9:00 p.m.
- Shape the dough and put into greased pans.
- Let the dough stand overnight.
- In the morning, bake at 420°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
