Instructions
- Melt the caramels with 1/3 cup of evaporated milk until smooth.
- Keep the caramel mixture warm.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, 1/3 cup of evaporated milk, and melted butter; mix well.
- Form the mixture into a ball and split it in half.
- Press one half into a greased and lightly floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, spread melted caramel over the baked layer, then top with chocolate chips and the remaining cake mixture.
- Bake again as needed until fully cooked and bubbly.
