Ingredients

  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut the cabbage and cook in salted water until desired tenderness; drain and place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. Stew chopped onion and bell pepper in canned tomatoes until tender; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour the tomato stew over the cooked cabbage and toss to combine.
  4. Top with grated Cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake in a 325°F oven until heated through and cheese is melted, about 15 minutes.
