  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sweet or buttermilk

Instructions

  2. Using a 1/4 cup measure, drop batter onto a hot, greased skillet or griddle.
  3. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
