Delicious no-bake treats featuring a rich combination of peanut butter, walnuts, and coconut, coated in chocolate. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups cream-style peanut butter
  • 2 cups walnuts or pecans, ground fine
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
  • 2 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice
  • 24 maraschino cherries, chopped fine

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Using approximately 1 teaspoon of batter, roll into a ball and place on a cookie sheet.
  3. Freeze all the candy balls until solid.
  4. Melt together two 12-ounce packages of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 3 1/2 teaspoons grated paraffin over water in a double boiler.
  5. Dip candies 2 or 3 at a time into the melted chocolate mixture.
  6. Cool on waxed paper until hardened.
