Ingredients

  • 16 French bread slices (1/4 inch thick)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Place bread slices on the baking sheet and brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread each slice with about 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with black pepper.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is just melted.
