Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 bag egg broad noodles
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1 pt. cream cheese
  • 1 package cottage cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger meat in a skillet; finely chop the bell pepper and onion.
  2. Add the chopped peppers and onions to the browned meat along with tomato sauce; simmer until flavors meld.
  3. Cook the egg broad noodles in boiling water until tender; drain well.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, cream cheese, and poppy seed; mix until smooth.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. In a glass baking dish, layer the cooked noodles at the bottom.
  7. Spread the cheese mixture over the noodles.
  8. Top with the meat and sauce mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
