A hearty layered pasta bake featuring pepperoni, green peppers, onion, and melted cheeses, perfect for family dinners and gatherings with bold flavors and comforting textures.

Ingredients

  • pepperoni
  • green peppers
  • 1 onion
  • olive oil
  • Prego sauce (tomatoes and basil)
  • ridged mostaccioli
  • shredded Mozzarella
  • Parmesan and Romano cheese

Instructions

  1. Chop the green peppers and onion.
  2. Cook the onion and green peppers in 1 tablespoon of olive oil until softened.
  3. Cook the ridged mostaccioli noodles as directed, then drain.
  4. Add a little sauce to the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer cooked noodles over the sauce.
  6. Add a layer of Prego sauce, then onion, green peppers, and pepperoni.
  7. Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat layering with sauce, noodles, vegetables, pepperoni, and cheese.
  9. Top with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1 hour or until the cheese is browned.
  11. Serve hot with Italian bread.
