Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb fresh pea pods
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 3 Tbsp butter, divided
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place pea pods and water in a microwave-safe bowl, cover, and cook on high for 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, cook chopped onions in 2 tablespoons of butter until crisp-tender.
  3. Drain the cooked peas and add them to the onion mixture in the skillet.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter, then toss to coat.
  5. Cook and stir until heated through before serving.
