Ingredients

  • peaches or plums
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. melted butter

Instructions

  1. Fill bottom of 9 x 12-inch pan with sliced, pared fruit. Sprinkle fruit with cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. Add melted butter and eggs to flour mixture.
  4. Stir batter until thoroughly mixed.
  5. (Batter will be stiff.)
  6. Spread batter over fruit.
  7. Bake at 350° approximately 40 to 45 minutes, until golden brown and crusty.
