Ingredients

  • 12 oz. peanut butter chips
  • 1 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 c. chocolate mini chips

Instructions

  1. Lightly butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Spread 1 cup of peanut butter chips evenly over the bottom of the prepared pan; set aside.
  3. In a 2 1/2-quart pan, melt the margarine.
  4. Add sugar, light corn syrup, and water to the melted margarine.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300° to 310°F).
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the coarsely chopped peanuts.
  7. Immediately pour the mixture evenly into the prepared pan, being careful not to disturb the chips.
  8. Quickly sprinkle the remaining peanut butter chips and chocolate mini chips over the candy.
  9. Let cool completely, then refrigerate if desired.
  10. Break into small pieces and store in a tightly covered container.
