Rich and creamy peanut butter cups with a smooth chocolate coating, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings and suitable for parties or as a delightful homemade treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. margarine
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. confectioners sugar
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 oz. semi sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/4 lb. paraffin

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and peanut butter together until smooth.
  2. Gradually add confectioners sugar until the mixture reaches a consistency that allows forming into balls the size of large marbles.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract thoroughly.
  4. Using hands, mix the ingredients until well combined.
  5. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and paraffin in a small double boiler until smooth.
  6. Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, using a toothpick to assist.
  7. Place the dipped balls on waxed paper to cool and set.
