Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa

Instructions

  1. Cream the peanut butter, oil, Crisco, and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Take out 1 1/2 cups of batter and mix in cocoa.
  6. Pour the plain batter into a greased tube pan.
  7. Swirl the cocoa batter into the plain batter a few times without hitting the sides of the pan.
  8. Place a pan of water under the cake to keep it moist while baking.
  9. Bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours.
