Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup oleo, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for melting)

Instructions

  1. Mix peanut butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, oleo, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Reduce speed; beat in flour, baking powder, and salt until blended.
  3. Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips.
  4. Spread evenly in an ungreased 15 x 10-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  6. Cool the bars.
  7. Melt the remaining chocolate chips; drizzle over the surface of the cooled bars.
