Ingredients

  • 1 pint sugar
  • 1 pint shelled pecans, chopped fine
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg whites just enough to mix them.
  2. Stir all other ingredients together until well mixed.
  3. Drop by small spoonfuls on well-greased pans, allowing room between each one.
  4. Bake in a very slow oven and do not attempt to take the cakes up until they are cold.
