Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
  • additional confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla; mix well.
  2. Combine the flour and salt; add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Stir in the finely chopped pecans.
  4. Chill the dough.
  5. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Roll the warm cookies in confectioners sugar.
  8. Cool and roll in sugar again.
