Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
  • confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, light brown sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook to soft-ball stage, 236°F on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  4. Beat until creamy.
  5. Add the peanut butter and stir until blended.
  6. Dust a board with confectioners' sugar and turn candy out onto it.
  7. Knead the candy and shape into one or two rolls.
  8. Cover with chopped pecans.
  9. Cool and slice when firm.
