Delightful pecan tassies feature a rich cream cheese crust filled with sweet pecan mixture, perfect for parties or as a decadent treat for nut lovers.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
  • 1 c. oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix softened cream cheese and oleo until smooth; add flour and mix well.
  3. Chill dough; divide into quarters, then each into 12 balls.
  4. Press each ball into the bottom and sides of mini muffin pans to form shells.
  5. In a bowl, beat eggs; stir in brown sugar and vanilla, then fold in pecan pieces.
  6. Spoon the pecan filling into the pastry shells, filling each cup.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pans.
