Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. soft real butter
  • pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan and evenly lay pecans on top.
  3. In a saucepan, combine 3/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  4. Boil for 50 seconds, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the hot caramel mixture over the prepared base and pecans.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting to prevent overbaking or burning.
