Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt or powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 5 tsp. sugar
  • 5 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Mix hamburger meat, oatmeal, garlic salt, and salt; form into meatballs and brown them.
  2. Add chopped onion, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, water, and cornstarch; simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Add diced bell peppers; cook for an additional 10 minutes until peppers are crisp.
  4. Serve the peppered hamburger meat over rice or noodles.
