Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. chuck roast
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 small jar pepperoncini peppers with juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the chuck roast with oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion salt.
  2. Place the seasoned meat in a crock-pot and top with pepperoncini peppers and their juice.
  3. Cook on high for 5 hours or on low for 8 hours until the meat is tender.
  4. Pull the meat apart with forks and add 1/4 cup of pepper juice from the jar.
  5. Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the shredded beef on buns.
