Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, softened
  • 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 18 thin slices Provolone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pepperoni
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Measure warm water into a large bowl; sprinkle in yeast and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add sugar, salt, margarine, and 3 cups of flour; beat until smooth.
  3. Stir in remaining flour.
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until double in size.
