Philip'S Vegetable Soup

- Prepare the vegetables by peeling and chopping three onions, 1 to 2 potatoes, 1 medium turnip, and 2 to 3 medium rutabagas. Slice three or more ribs of celery and three or more carrots.
- In a large pot, add beef short ribs and boneless stew meat, then cover with water and bring to a boil. Skim off any foam.
- Add the chopped vegetables to the pot along with seasonings such as chachere and salt.
- Simmer the soup over low heat for about 2 hours or until the meats are tender and flavors meld.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
