Ingredients

  • 2 lb. green beans
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large onion

Instructions

  1. French cut and cook the green beans.
  2. Combine water, sugar, and vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Drain cooked beans and put into a large jar.
  4. Slice onion thinly over the beans.
  5. While still hot, pour the hot liquid over the beans and onions.
  6. Chill before serving.
