Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 rounded c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Blend flour, shortening, and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add egg, water, and vinegar to the mixture. Mix well to form a dough.
  3. Divide the dough into three equal portions.
  4. Roll each portion on a floured board or pastry sheet to desired thickness.
  5. Use to line pie plates or as top crusts for pies.
