Ingredients

  • 12 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 cups cooked noodles

Instructions

  1. After mashing potatoes, mix in shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Saute minced onion in butter until translucent.
  3. In a well-greased casserole dish, layer cooked noodles, mashed potatoes with cheese, then sautéed onions.
  4. Repeat with a second layer, cover the dish, and bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
  5. Serve with sour cream if desired.
