Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or oleo
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix granulated sugar and melted butter or oleo until well combined.
  2. Beat eggs until foamy and add to the mixture, blending thoroughly.
  3. Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in the drained crushed pineapple until evenly incorporated.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
  8. Cut into bars or squares.
