Ingredients

  • 1 tall can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup margarine

Instructions

  1. Pour undrained crushed pineapple into a buttered 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
  2. Pour cherry pie filling over the pineapple.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans and flaked coconut on top.
  5. Cut margarine into thin patties and arrange on top.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until done.
  7. Check the cake at 35 minutes; if not done, continue baking for up to 45 minutes.
