Instructions
- Drain syrup from pineapple.
- Add enough water to the syrup to make 2 cups.
- Heat the mixture to boiling point.
- Dissolve lemon and lime gelatin in the boiling liquid.
- Add salt to the mixture.
- Cool until slightly thickened.
- When beginning to congeal, fold in cottage cheese, mayonnaise, crushed pineapple, and chopped almonds.
- Pour the mixture into a mold or 9-inch square pan.
- Place in refrigerator to chill and set.
- Serve on a lettuce leaf, topped with a touch of mayonnaise.
